Custom software
Everyone is free to ask for additions / new features on existing products. If it's a good idea and others will benefit from it also,
we'll try to put it in as soon there is a bit of time to do so.
But if you need something specific, or if you are in a terrible hurry to get an addition to existing products, that's possible also. In such cases we can make something custom for you. Since we use / know a lot of products in the pro video market, it's easy for us to test in-house the work we do (We have Avid, FCP, AE, Premiere, DVD SP, Encore all running here).
A few examples:
We try to understand your question / problem, and see if we can come up with something (This might involve some basic testing). If we see possibilities, we work with you to write more detailled specifications. Most of the time this is free (Things change when writing specs takes more than one day, but that does not occur very often).
Once we both agree on the specs, you receive a quote or, in case of expected changes during development, an estimation of cost. We mostly work on no cure - no pay basis. So you pay only when the product works at your company.
You are free to run an unlimited amount of copies of the final product, but only for your organisation. The copyright stays with us, and we reserve the right to re-use the code for other projects. If you want to re-sell the product and get the copyright and/or source code, that's possible but most likely more expensive.
In case you are a rental company and want to rent out the software, we can work out options like dongles or alike.
So if you have a question or need, do not hesitate to ask! But do try to be as specific as possible, and if you can, include sample files with your request. Sample files can be send using this link:

A few examples:
James Cameron's 'Avatar'
We wrote an application that reads VITC from the video assist files, puts that in a database for further processing, and later on trims the clips to a new duration according to the processed database.
Robert Zemeckis 'A Christmas Carol'
An application for the motion capture used in the movie. This application converted DV AVI files with advanced pulldown to 24p DNxHD files while retaining timecode.
Endemol
For the sports department, they needed a tool that could rename and copy MXF files. Renaming had to be done according a strict set of rules, but with human intervention. So we came up with something that provided the operators with a few buttons / pulldown lists make it as easy as possible, without any way to make mistakes. As an extra that was not in the original specs, we integrated an open source MXF player so the operators could actually see / hear the clip before renaming it.
VPRO (Dutch public broadcaster)
Ordered the addition of JW player compatible XML output from Subbits. They paid the development, now every Subbits user has this functionality (So if you use it, be grateful for PBS).
LTC generator was written for a company that tested Omneon systems for the VRT (Flemish public broadcaster).
